Based in Salisbury, MDServing Maryland & Delaware communities

Most kitchens and bathrooms do not need to be torn out. They need the surfaces that date the room brought up to date: tired cabinet fronts, a worn backsplash, old trim, hardware that no longer matches.

Silva Handyman Contractor handles updates at that scale for homeowners in Salisbury and the surrounding Maryland and Delaware communities — the visible work that changes how a room feels, without moving walls or opening up the plumbing and wiring.

What this includes

  • Backsplash and wall tileTile set on a prepared surface with layout planned so cuts land where they look intentional, then grouted and sealed.
  • Cabinet fronts and boxesDoors, drawer fronts and visible boxes cleaned, degreased, scuff-sanded and painted or refinished.
  • Countertop and fixture changesStraightforward swaps coordinated with the licensed trade that handles the connections.
  • Trim, moulding and shelvingBaseboards, casing, crown and simple built-in shelving installed square and caulked cleanly.
  • Hardware and fixturesCabinet pulls, hinges, towel bars, mirrors, shelving and other surface hardware fitted consistently.
  • Caulking, grout and touch-upsFresh caulk lines, re-grouted joints and paint touch-ups that finish a room properly.

Scope note

This service covers updates to surfaces, finishes and fixtures. It is not a full structural remodel: moving walls, relocating plumbing or gas lines, and new electrical circuits are handled by the licensed trades, and we will tell you plainly when your project needs one.

What to send us

  • Photos of the whole room from each doorway, plus close-ups of the areas you want changed.
  • A list of what you want updated, ranked if some items matter more than others.
  • Tile, paint or hardware you have already purchased or selected.
  • Whether anything is currently leaking, loose or not working.
  • Your ZIP code and how long the room can be out of service.

Questions we will ask

  • Is this a surface update, or does the layout need to change?
  • Do any changes require plumbing, gas or electrical work by a licensed trade?
  • What condition are the cabinet boxes in behind the doors?
  • Is the existing tile over a sound substrate, or does it need to come out first?
  • What is the budget range, so the scope can be matched to it honestly?
